Water Treatment Tours

What can I expect?

Did you know that on average, the City of Grand Ledge supplies over 200 million gallons of drinking water to customers a year? The City of Grand Ledge tests water 16 times each month to ensure the water is safe to drink. Did you know that we have a wastewater treatment plant located in Fitzgerald Park? Our wastewater treatment plant cleans sewage and water so that it can be returned to the environment. The plant removes solids and pollutants, breaks down organic matter, and restores the oxygen content of treated water. Come join us on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, for tours of our wastewater treatment plant. You'll also learn about how our water and sewer systems affect our surface water like the Grand River, and what you can do to protect it!
