Water Supply Feedback

Safe, clean water is the highest priority for our utility customers. The existing iron removal plant that treats our water supply has approached the end of its useful life. Grand Ledge City Council is evaluating three options below for future water supply, and would like your feedback.

  1. New Iron Removal System
  2. New Water Softening System
  3. Connection & Water Supply from Lansing Board of Water & Light

Please find engineered studies and assessmentes of each water treatment option below. When considering treatment options all are based on current interest rates and a 40 year term*, the estimated financial impact of any of the proposed options would be reflected in the fixed rates on utility bills. Term last published and subject to change quarterly: 40 year repayment with 2.375% interest.
