PROJECT SUMMARY & LOCATION

The City of Grand Ledge, through the award of a competitive funding round with the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund, was awarded funds to bring the following amenities to Jaycee Park:

  • ADA accessible canoe/kayak launch
  • Adding approximately 385 feet of paved, ADA accessible trail to connect the existing Riverwalk Trail to the Memorial Tree Trail creating more than 2.7 miles of ADA accessible, connected trails along the Grand River and through Grand Ledge
  • Improved boat trailer parking off of East River Street with the addition of three designated handicap parking spaces
  • Bank stabilization measures at the southeastern park boundary to support the viability of the land/trail systems and preservation of natural resources

Construction of this project began in mid-April and is expected to be open for the public to enjoy by late July, 2019.
