DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

NOTICE OF AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING

The Grand Ledge Downtown Development Authority will hold an informational meeting at 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, 08 April 2026, to inform the public of the goals and direction of the Downtown Development Authority, including projects to be undertaken in the coming year.

Spring 2026 City-Wide Leaf Collection

Due to the winter weather conditions during the 2025 leaf collection, the city will be holding a special opportunity for residents to have their leaves picked up in the Spring 2026. 

To participate, please ensure all leaves are raked to the curb no later than 8:00 AM on Monday, April 6, 2026. City crews will pick up LEAVES ONLY on public streets starting in Zone 1 on April 6, 2026, and will only pick up leaves once on each street. 

To help with the pickup, leaves should be raked to the grassy area between the sidewalk and piled close to the curb. Please DO NOT push leaves into the street, as it is a public safety hazard and impedes stormwater runoff.

Master Plan Update - 2026

The Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council an update to the Master Plan and the City Council has authorized its distribution for a 63-day comment period, ending May 15, 2026.  You can review the draft 2026 Master Plan update at this link and submit comments using the feedback form.
