Fitzgerald Park is a spectacular 78-acre, all-seasons park. The eastern boundary of the park provides tremendous views of the Grand River, the fish ladder, and the dam. No visit to the park is complete without viewing the famous sandstone ledges. ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings that line the banks of the Grand River.
Fitzgerald Park is owned by the City and leased to Eaton County Parks and Recreation Commission. Naturalist services are available, offering programs related to ecology, wildlife, and natural history.
As of December 2022, there is no longer a vehicle permit fee required to enter Fitzgerald Park. For more information on Fitzgerald Park amenities, visit Eaton County Parks website or call the Park Office at 517-627-7351.
